Senior Accountant
Location: Onsite - Seattle
Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team in Seattle. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead key components of the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and provide insight into variances and trends
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation
• Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff when needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite in Seattle

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Experience supporting audits and preparing financial statements
• Experience working in a mid-size or growing organization
• Experience improving accounting processes or internal controls
