The Role
We're seeking a Lead Python Software Engineer to spearhead development of our next-generation platform—a greenfield product with strategic visibility and massive impact.
You’ll lead technical design, mentor engineers, and partner cross-functionally to turn high-level ideas into scalable, secure, and user-friendly systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving hard problems, and has a track record of bringing 0→1 products to life.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture and technical strategy for a new, cloud-native civic platform built on Python
- Own end-to-end delivery of major initiatives—from design through deployment, observability, and iteration
- Guide engineering decisions on stack, system design, API design, infrastructure, and tooling
- Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to define and drive the product roadmap
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code , and ensure best practices are upheld across the team
- Mentor and support other engineers , fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and technical excellence
- Champion a customer-first, iterative mindset grounded in rapid learning and continuous improvement
