Responsibilities

The Medical Economics Specialist will :

  • Develop reporting and analyses to measure health plan trends and performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop analyses aimed at identifying key performance drivers
  • Work closely with team members to ensure knowledge sharing of best technical and analytic practices
  • Serve as a go-to for leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization to craft creative analytic approaches to practical business issues
  • Lead development and production of cost, revenue, and utilization reporting, incorporating both internal and external benchmarks
  • Manage the needs of various stakeholders in projects, including designing communication processes, project timelines and formal presentations
  • Supports ad-hoc reporting and analysis for business units throughout the organization
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Business Administration Data Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, and / or a related field
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Analytics, Financial, Statistical and Data Science concept
  • Extensive knowledge of the Healthcare industry
  • Experience with analysis of Healthcare Claims data
  • Experience with Financial / Accounting and Statistical concepts
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

    • Desired Skills :

  • Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, and / or a related field
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and / or PowerBI
  • Background in Managed Care / Health Plan claims
