Job Title : Flatbed Driver Job Description

This position is responsible for the shipping, receiving, proper handling of materials, equipment, and compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards / procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move shipments from dock platforms to storage or work areas.
• Use computers to prepare packing lists, BOLs, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipping.
• Inspect and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged or non-conforming items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
• Place materials in correct inventory locations.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipment.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, or packing slips to ensure all items are received and undamaged, and enter them into QuickBooks.
• Design, fabricate, and assemble wooden crates or cardboard containers to ensure product integrity during shipment.
• Maintain a safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain forklifts, stock items, and company tools.
• Make local deliveries and pick up parts using a flatbed truck and pickup truck.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm in a manufacturing and custom-build production environment. The facility is relatively clean and organized, ensuring a comfortable workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 / hr.
