Your Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering pertinent tests, and developing customized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating patients with acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, whether working in tandem with physicians or independently (as permitted by credentials)
• Instructing patients and their families on preventive health, wellness strategies, and management of diseases
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice

• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to secure them within 90 days)
