Texas Licensed Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for a Certified Inpatient Coder PRN.

Key Responsibilities

Perform coding of inpatient records, including DRG assignment and validation

Ensure coding accuracy and timeliness while utilizing coding systems

Maintain collaboration with Coding Manager, CDI team, and other relevant departments

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Three to five years of coding experience required, with inpatient experience preferred

Advanced training in medical coding (ICD10-CM / PCS, CPT, and APC)

High school diploma, GED, or higher education required

Certification such as AHIMA : RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCA; or AAPC Coding Certification required

Ability to work remotely with high-speed internet and a compliant work area
