Restaurant Food Server

Our popular hotel restaurant is searching for servers with a welcoming smile and a positive customer service attitude to set the tone for our visitors' dining experience. In the restaurant, you will serve our customers by ensuring they are seated quickly, their orders are received, prepared, and delivered in a timely manner, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next customers. This is a part-time position, PM Shift

Compensation:

$12.50 plus tips

Responsibilities:

• Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions
• Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
• Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities

Qualifications:

• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
