Job Title : Insurance Coordinator

Reports to : Director of Accounts Receivable

Education : Associate degree or 3+ years’ equivalent experience

Experience : Mass Health Insurance / Insurance Application Process

Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F, in-house position. It is flexible as long as the hours are done from Monday to Friday between 8am- 5pm.

Pay Range (depending on experience) :

$20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities :

• Assist patients / residents and their families in understanding Medicaid eligibility requirements and the application process.
• Coordinate and oversee the Medicaid application process from start to finish.
• Follow up with families, financial institutions, and agencies to obtain necessary documentation.
• Act as a liaison between the facility and local / state Medicaid offices to ensure efficient processing and resolution of any issues.
• Ensure all deadlines for applications, renewals, and redeterminations are met.
• Monitors changes in Medicaid policies and communicate updates to staff and families as necessary.
• Assist fellow Medicaid liaisons with caseloads during high-volume periods, or as needed to ensure continuity and timely processing
