Lead Operator Wastewater - Littleton, MA

Lead Operator Position Summary :

The primary responsibility of the Lead Operator is to operate , maintain and oversee the operation and maintenance (O & M) of wastewater systems in their assigned area. The Lead Operator will be the point of contact, coordinator of tasks associated with system O & M , and be responsible for work performed by service and o perators under their direction.

Hiring Requirements / Preferences for Lead Operator :

• High School Diploma or equivalent .
• 7+ years of experience as a licensed wastewater / water operator, or equivalent education and experience , including treatment plants, collection / distribution systems and pump / booster stations .
• Must possess a Grade 5C issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent in CT, NH, or RI .
• Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call duties both nights and weekends .
• Ability to review, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment specifications .
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements of states that encompass the assigned service area .
• Ability to utilize computers, tablets and / or other electronic devices .
• OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen .
• Valid US Driver's License.
