Lead Assembler

Level II (Lead) Assembler / General Production

Location: South Elgin, IL

Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $17$20 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a Level II Lead Assembler / General Production team member to help lead a small production team within an assembly work cell and assist with special projects. This role involves assigning daily tasks, supporting training efforts, and ensuring that quality and production goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and train a production team in an assembly cell focused on electronic and mechanical assembly, PCB assembly, testing, and box build.
• Support and participate in special projects as assigned by Production Leadership.
• Enforce all quality and safety procedures on the production floor.
• Step in to cover various production roles when employees are absent or on leave.
• Communicate equipment issues or production concerns to the management team promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on quality and productivity.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in environments with temperature changes.
• Must have clear vision, including depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The position operates in a production and light assembly environment that may include exposure to lubricants, electrical components, and standard manufacturing tools and equipment.
