Who we are: Our beautiful dental practices in Spring Valley, NY & Clifton and Paramus, NJ are seeking a caring, personable, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing organization. The applicant must be highly motivated, have solid communication skills and be a team player that can maintain a professional attitude at all times with both patients and staff and most importantly follow direction, work quickly on their feet and understand the "flow" of the office.

About the position: Full-time or part-time schedule with ability to work evenings and Saturdays/Sundays.

Responsibilities

• assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment; Provide consistent exceptional service
• Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
• Performing office tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
• Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including but not limited to, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery
• Set up and sanitation of exam rooms
• Ensure medical safety guidelines and procedures are met
• Ability to have flexible hours; maintain cleanliness of office throughout
• Ability to take direction from office manager & dentist

Qualifications

1. Experience working in general dentistry (preferred)
2. High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
3. Certifications and licenses (Min X-Ray License with CDA preferred)
