Assistant / Associate Professor in Visual / Digital Art

Position : Assistant / Associate Professor in Visual / Digital Art (rank : Assistant / Associate) – Department of Performing & Fine Arts, Fayetteville State University. Primary Purpose : The Department of Performing and Fine Arts is committed to building a community through the arts, fostering creativity, and engaging the local community. This role will teach undergraduate courses in digital arts (digital illustration, animation, interactive media, game design), design curriculum aligned with industry standards, and prepare students for careers in creative and tech‑driven fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of undergraduate courses in digital arts, including digital illustration, animation, interactive media, and game design.
• Shape the curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Maintain inclusive, student‑centered learning environments.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to enhance program relevance and assessment.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, or portfolio development related to digital arts.
