We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our startup company based in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a strong understanding of financial management and manufacturing operations in a PE backed setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving organizational growth while maintaining robust financial controls. This role will be predominately remote with occasional travel to the office required.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements that align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage intercompany accounts and ensure proper reconciliation across entities.
• Develop and maintain a structured chart of accounts to support organizational needs.
• Implement and review internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular internal control reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align financial strategies with operational goals.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures to support organizational growth.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and long-term planning.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or a related role.
• Previous experience in a private equity backed organization.
• Ability to implement policies and procedures to optimize growth in a startup setting.
• Proven expertise in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Experience managing intercompany accounts and performing reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and risk management practices.
• Familiarity with manufacturing industry financial operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
