Job Title : Superintendent – Active Healthcare Projects
Location : San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for active healthcare construction projects across the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing renovations, additions, and new builds within operational hospital or clinical environments. This role requires meticulous coordination, adherence to HCAI / OSHPD standards, and the ability to lead projects with minimal disruption to ongoing healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise all field activities for healthcare construction projects in occupied or partially operational facilities
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and field staff to maintain safety, infection control, and workflow continuity
- Enforce compliance with HCAI / OSHPD regulations , infection control standards (ICRA), and client-specific protocols
- Develop and manage phasing plans, logistics, and site access in collaboration with hospital facilities teams
- Conduct daily coordination meetings, issue progress reports, and ensure accurate field documentation
- Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and client representatives to resolve issues
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment for staff, patients, and visitors
