This entry-level masonry position earns a competitive wage of $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN APPRENTICE CHIMNEY TECHNICIAN - MASON

As an Apprentice Chimney Technician - Mason, you come to work each day eager to learn something new and ready to lend a hand in any way possible. At times, you assist with brick, mortar, and other related products, and you work hard during set-up and breakdown. You are always safety-minded, especially when working on roofs, scaffolding, and ladders. Sometimes your job includes sweeping chimneys, performing fireplace demolitions, and cleaning up the related debris. When you're not busy with those tasks, you keep an eye out for things you could do to be helpful such as organizing tools and cleaning out work trucks. This is a great position for you because you are proud to be learning a new trade and growing in your career!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN APPRENTICE CHIMNEY TECHNICIAN - MASON

• Ability to climb ladders and work in high locations
• Ability to work on roofs and scaffolding without impeding fear
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work long hours in inclement weather
• Willingness to participate in all required training and certification courses
• Ability to travel when necessary for training and certification
