General Description:The Workforce Development unit at the Community College of Philadelphia seeks Instructors with experience teaching foundational manufacturing skills, including machining- and welding-related mathematics, measurement, safety, tools, and workplace readiness. Ideal candidates will bring strong industry experience and a commitment to delivering engaging, hands-on, career-aligned training.
This course introduces students to the evolution of manufacturing, technical math for machining and welding, engineering drawings, material classification, tool usage, OSHA safety standards, and career exploration in the skilled trades. Classes may be offered during daytime and/or evening hours at the Community College of Philadelphia. Workforce Development provides noncredit education to businesses, organizations, and individuals wishing to enhance their skills and meet professional goals, offering high-quality continuing education and training programs delivered by expert faculty and staff.
