About the Role
The Company is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Medical Cost Strategy to lead the development, integration, and oversight of our medical cost containment program. In this vital position, you will distinguish our services in the marketplace, manage bill review operations and nurse case management, and ensure compliance with industry standards in collaboration with our business partners. Furthermore, you will design and implement training programs in medical case management.
Your expertise will be critical in resolving complex issues and offering technical support to case managers, while continuously monitoring competitive insights on program fees. As a key management liaison, you will assist in crafting client proposals and play an essential role in branding initiatives and the establishment of industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the claims line of business, including at least 5 years in claims management roles. A deep understanding of industry best practices is essential, along with an active California RN license. Preference will be given to candidates with over 15 years of claims experience and relevant professional certifications.
This role demands exceptional communication, negotiation, and influence management skills, empowering you to make strategic decisions and effectively manage high-impact projects. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, dedicated to service excellence, and adept at multitasking and working independently. Experience with RMIS systems and data mining is a valuable asset.
