Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift - Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance

📍 Byron Center & Wayland , MI (Greater Grand Rapids)

🕒 3rd Shift : 10 : 00 PM 6 : 00 AM (Sun Night Fri Morning)

💲 Pay Based on Experience + $1 / hr Shift Premium + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

We are hiring Maintenance Technicians across 2 West Michigan locations for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

The 3rd shift role is a high-priority opening.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong electrical maintenance experience required (480V, controls, PLC exposure a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with robotic cells and stamping press equipment.
  • Ability to fabricate, weld, and perform mechanical repairs.
  • Must bring a full set of trade tools.
  • Ability to lift 60+ lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain a powered industrial truck operator permit.

    • The ideal candidate will be strong in electrical and mechanical maintenance , troubleshooting, and supporting automated / robotic manufacturing environments.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency mechanical & electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose breakdowns, determine root cause, and carry out necessary repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting (including 480V and control wiring).
  • Install, modify, rebuild, or fabricate machine components, fixtures, and mechanisms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and OEM manuals.
  • Operate lathes, mills, welders, drill presses, and fabrication equipment to make or repair parts.
  • Assist with robotic cells, stamping presses, and automated systems.
  • Operate testing tools, material handling equipment, manlifts (up to 60 ft), and power tools.
  • Coordinate across shifts to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, safety standards, and workspace cleanliness.
