We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead and manage the financial operations of our organization in Lincoln, Nebraska. This executive role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, providing strategic financial insights, and overseeing the accounting team to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management and compliance while driving improvements in processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement strategies for accurate financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
• Manage the preparation and execution of annual budgets, including allocation and monitoring.
• Lead the accounting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
• Analyze business operations to identify financial risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive process improvements and implement new systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to deliver critical financial insights and recommendations.
• Manage software implementations, including Sage 300 and Oracle NetSuite technologies.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred not required.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting management at a senior level.
• Strong background in departmental and people management.
• Expertise in budgeting, including allocation and monitoring processes.
• Proficiency in business analysis and process improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of tax reporting requirements and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Sage 300 and Oracle NetSuite software systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
