NAME OF POSITION : Head Start and / or Early Head Start Classroom Substitute

Location : 79 US Highway 22 / 31, Ringoes, NJ

Hours- as needed, not to exceed 8 hours a day

$17.28-$19.59

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
• Support classroom activities and lesson implementation.
• Promote positive child interactions and development.
• Assist with daily routines and caregiving tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level : High school diploma working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire.

Preferred Education Level : Child Development Associate (CDA)- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.

Experience : Experience working with young children.

Preferred Experience : 2 years' experience in early childhood education and direct experience with at-risk population, Head Start experience.

Personal characteristics : compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team-player

Physical abilities : Lift 30 pounds
