Job Description

Payroll Clerk- Long Beach, CA

$26.50-$31.00 / hr | 40 hours per week

Industry- Manufacturing

Role Overview

  • Manage full payroll processing and support financial operations
  • Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations and employee payroll records
  • Support compliance with payroll, tax, and reporting requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, maintain, and process payroll data including hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, commissions, time worked, paid leave, deductions, and employee updates
  • Process payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements
  • Issue or reissue physical checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or terminations
  • Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits
  • Perform additional payroll or accounting support duties as assigned

    • Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • At least 6 months of payroll experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and productivity software
  • Ability to quickly learn payroll systems
