JOB DEFINITION :

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking dedicated and passionate School Psychology students to complete their internship by serving as an Evaluation Specialist in alignment with the National Certified School Psychology Standards.

This internship offers an exceptional opportunity for a graduate student-or recent graduate-pursuing a career in School Psychology to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a diverse and dynamic educational setting. Designed to build practical skills and deepen professional understanding, the program provides direct exposure to real-world school psychology work under the guidance of experienced practitioners.

As an integral member of our team, the Evaluation Specialist will contribute to the delivery of comprehensive psychological services that support students, families, and educators across Bend-La Pine Schools.

Interns will receive consistent supervision and mentoring from a certified School Psychologist, along with ongoing guidance and professional development opportunities to strengthen their skills and competencies.

ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS : As an Evaluation Specialist, you will work closely with the supervising School Psychologist and contribute to the following areas, aligned with the National Certified School Psychology Standards :

• ? Assessment :
• ? Assist in conducting psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments.
• ? Administer, score, and interpret standardized tests and assessment tools.
• ? Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate students' needs and eligibility for special education services.
• ? Intervention and Consultation :
• ? Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other educational staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• ? Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on evidence-based behavior management strategies and interventions.
• ? Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and monitoring of student goals.
• ? Assist in developing and implementing a variety of support programs, including bullying prevention, mental health awareness, positive behavior support initiatives, and others identified by need.
• ? Data-Driven Decision Making and Accountability :
• ? Collect and analyze data related to student performance, behavior, and psychological factors to inform decision-making and support intervention planning related to student progress and program effectiveness.
• ? Generate comprehensive reports to present data findings to invested parties
• ? Maintain accurate records and documentation of assessment results, intervention plans, and consultations.
• ? Ethical and Legal Practices :
• ? Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations in the provision of school psychology services.
• ? Maintain confidentiality and respect the rights of students and families.
• ? Professional Development and Best Practice Alignment :
• ? Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills
• ? Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops as directed by the supervision School Psychologist
