Description

Are you ready to bring your CNC Machining skills to a team that values precision and innovation? At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we’re dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled CNC Machine Operators like you!

What You’ll Do :

  • CNC Operation : Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.
  • Machine Optimization : Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization.
  • Blueprint Interpretation : Read and understand blueprints and route instructions.
  • GD&T Application : Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Program Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspection Process : Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor / Lead.
  • Collaborative Communication : Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns.
  • Safety Compliance : Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift.
  • Shift Documentation : Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition.
  • Preventive Maintenance : Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings.

    • What You'll Bring :

  • Measurement Proficiency : Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools.
  • Math Skills : Strong proficiency in basic math.
  • Documentation Skills : Ability to accurately document machining procedures.
  • Tooling Knowledge : Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe / mill tooling.
  • Machine Experience : Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines (preferred).
  • Communication : Basic oral communication skills and the ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English.
  • Physical Stamina : Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
  • Policy Compliance : Availability to work scheduled hours and adhere to all company policies, including timekeeping.
  • Adaptability : Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift.
  • Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles.
  • Willingness to Learn : Eagerness to be trained and a desire to learn new skills.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Reliability : Dependable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

    • Your Schedule :

  • 3rd Shift, Sunday – Thursday, 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM
