Job Title : Pipefitter Job Description

Join our team as a Pipefitter, where you will be working at a steel fabricator performing essential fitting duties. Your role will involve structural steel fitting, flux core welding, and pipefitting tasks. A crucial part of this position is the ability to read a tape measure to the 1 / 16th of an inch and lift up to 50 pounds. You will also engage in tack welding and other related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel fitting and pipefitting duties.
• Execute flux core welding tasks.
• Read and interpret tape measures accurately to the 1 / 16th of an inch.
• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Conduct tack welding as required.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4 : 30pm, and Friday from 5am to 1pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 5am to 1pm. The role is based in a steel fabrication facility where safety and precision are key. Dress appropriately for an industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.
