The Judge Group is seeking a Buyerfor our client in their Carrollton, TX area corporate offices.

COMPENSATION: $60,000 to $63,000

LOCATION: Fully onsite

MUST HAVE: BS degree in business, Finance or related

MUST HAVE: BS Degree

MUST HAVE: 4+ years’ experience Buying in a manufacturing operation (Heavy Industrial, Automotive, or similar industry)

MUST HAVE: CPIM certification, or other APICS certification

MUST HAVE: Detailed knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Procuring parts used directly in the manufacturing process of large industrial machinery

- Manage the assigned commodities and suppliers

- Meet parts cost, quality and availability goals

- Develop, source, and manage foreign / domestic suppliers

- Buy parts and materials necessary to support production requirements

- Perform all procurement duties

- Manage all supplier contracts

- Collaborate with Engineers, Finance, Quality, Marketing, and suppliers understand instructions

- Achieve cost savings plans with current suppliers and seek new opportunities with potential new suppliers
- Assist production in inventory availability and quality problems

- Evaluate new sources of supply

- Identify potential suppliers by reviewing previous domestic and foreign suppliers. Involve quality competitive suppliers early in the design cycle

- Handle quote request forms from potential suppliers

- Process Engineering change requests and change notices to suppliers and negotiate pricing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- BS Degree

- 4+ years’ experience Buying in a manufacturing operation (Heavy Industrial, Automotive, or similar industry)

- CPIM certification, or other APICS certification

- Detailed knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures

- Experience creating price analysis

- Knowledge of import/export issues

- Knowledge of pricing of raw materials, labor rates, and manufacturing costs

- Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of materials, formal engineering change processes, supplier processes

- Strong MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word

- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
