The School of Psychological Sciences in theCollege of Education and Behavioral Sciences, at the University of NorthernColorado, is seeking an Assistant Professor of Psychological Sciences for a Contract Renewable Position.

MinimumQualifications:
Doctorateor ABD in Psychology or a closely related field with experience teaching an introductory-levelpsychology course.

PreferredQualifications:
Demonstrated success teaching introductory psychology(i.e., "Psychology 101") in a face-to-face format. Experience with onlineteaching is also desirable. In addition, we seek candidates with experienceteaching a wide range of undergraduate classes such as Careers in Psychology,Cognition, Psychology & Culture, and Sensation & Perception and/orMental Health, Theories of Counseling, and Clinical Psychology. We further seekcandidates with experience supervising graduate student instructors/teachingassistants.

PositionDescription:
The School of Psychological Sciences invitesapplicants for a full-time Assistant Professor contract renewable position (oneyear appointment with potential for renewal) starting Fall 2026. The School isinterested in recruiting and hiring highly qualified applicants, including those fromhistorically marginalized groups, to teach our introductory psychology course(Principles of Psychology), supervise graduate student instructors of thiscourse, and teach a wide range of other undergraduate psychology courses. Allcandidates must have a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in Psychology or a closely relatedfield. Successful applicants will demonstrate excellence or the potential forexcellence in undergraduate instruction and mentoring. The workload is 80% teaching (4 classes persemester) and 20% service. This position does not include any workload inscholarship/research. Service includes supervising graduate studentinstructors/teaching assistants, advising undergraduates, and serving oncommittees. Applicants should submit acover letter, CV, a statement of teaching philosophy (including strategies thatyou would use in a "Psychology 101" course), teaching evaluations (or other evidenceof effectiveness), and contact information for three professional references.
