Coordinator Of Testing
The Coordinator of Testing is responsible for managing the organization and implementation of testing materials and services offered at Florida Gateway College. A person assigned to this position selects, provides training, and supervises test proctors and administrators. This individual must be very knowledgeable of and abide by the laws and regulations governing the security and confidentiality regarding student information, test integrity and records maintenance.
Examples of Duties :
Coordinate maintenance and destruction of documents pertaining to testing. Provide information and services to prospective and current students (including secondary schools) in the 5-county service district. Serve as a resource to members of the faculty, staff, and administration on issues relating to the laws, rules, and regulations governing testing. Coordinate all aspects of the recruitment and hiring of appropriate personnel to provide direct testing services to students. Manage budgets relative to personnel expenses, equipment expenditures, and contracted services. Provide budget input, monitor budget, maintain appropriate records, compile data, and prepare reports. Maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and organizations which provide testing services to students. Provide individualized accommodations to students with disabilities as directed by the Coordinator of Disabled Student Services. Coordinate and direct the daily testing activities in the Test Center. Maintain center updates and provide training to keep test site and staff credentials current. Direct and maintain test center web page and social media resources.
Minimum Qualifications :
Knowledge of federal and state laws, guidelines, and procedures with respect to test security, integrity and administration. Ability to communicate effectively with faculty and staff to provide reasonable testing accommodations for students with disabilities. Ability to demonstrate understanding and consideration to the needs of students with regard to issues relating to testing, i.e. test anxiety, initial advising, and remediation.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree in education, psychology, or related field desired plus two (2) years experience in a student services related area, preferably in a college or university setting. Computer literate.
Essential Physical Skills :
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction). Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid). Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Use of fingers. Environmental Conditions : Works inside in an office / lab environment.
