Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time DHH Consultation Specialist position is available for the school year in Chicago, IL. This onsite, contract role involves providing expert support for a female student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing through assessments and ongoing collaboration with educational staff.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct initial and re-evaluation assessments to determine the student's specific needs.
• Utilize various assistive tools and technology to improve learning and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to develop and implement tailored educational strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of assessment outcomes, student progress, and collaborative efforts.
