Orthopedic Hand Surgery job opening in Watertown, NY Located in Northern New York, 70 miles from Syracuse Practice Highlights :

  • Hospital Employed, start-up practice with plans to build to six (6) surgeons with APPs offering a wide spectrum of general and specialized ortho services
  • Call schedule- 1 : 4, serving one hospital, minimal trauma emergencies
  • Office conveniently located nearby hospital campus
  • Catchment population : 250,000
  • Large network of providers offering a strong referral base
  • Serving the military men and women from nearby Fort Drum, home to the 10th Mountain Army Division
  • Emergency orthopaedic admissions provided by Hospitalist Service, with consult to Ortho
  • Operating Rooms were newly constructed in 2010, two dedicated Ortho operating rooms working back to back to enhance efficiencies, block scheduling
  • Established robotic surgery program since 2012, upgraded to da Vinci Xi in 2019
  • Teaching opportunities are extended with accredited ACGME / AOA family medicine and internal medicine residency training programs

Package Highlights :

  • Starting base $560,000 - $610,000 (in addition to WRVU bonus model)
  • Signing bonus : $50,000
  • Education Loan repayment : $20,000 each year
  • Relocation reimbursement : $10,000
  • 4-year contract

  • Board Certification / Board Eligibility required
  • Values patient-centered care and has desire to work within a team model
  • Demonstrates top-notch interpersonal skills in addition to excellent clinical skills
  • Able to provide surgical case log indicating active experience over the past two years
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to provide the best possible care and outcomes
