Title : Maintenance Technician

Two of your favorite Petcare brands : Iams and Pedigree.

Required Shift :

The shift is 12 hours and will rotate weekly.

When on nights shift will be Monday - Wednesday 6pm-6 : 30 am. When on days shift will be Monday - Thursday 6am-6 : 30 pm.

Job Purpose : The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs on all assigned equipment including basic hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g. packaging conveying processing or facilities equipment etc.).

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

Basic Computer skills required (e.g. Microsoft Office Excel Word and PowerPoint)

Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

Required to participate in a stringent onboarding and training program within the first 7 weeks of employment (no vacation time will be approved during this time)

Physical Requirements :

Frequent lifting / carrying pushing (10-50 lbs.) and pushing / pulling (50-300 lbs.)

Frequent bending stooping handling and gripping.

Ability to work at elevated heights climb stairs leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.

Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).

Ability to read write and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications :

Associate or Technical Degree

4 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

Possess a fundamental understanding of hydraulic pneumatic & mechanical schematics / drawings.

Understand TPM Theory and Concepts

What will be your key responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair equipment failed components and centerline adjustments.

Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and support operations with equipment set up and changeover.

Document Work Orders (WOs) and PMs using computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for Plant maintenance functions.

Some fabrication and / or machinist work; trained as required.

Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Teams train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AMs) activities and participate in Breakdown Analysis / Elimination efforts.

Adheres to Maintenance and Repair costs while follow Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

Assists Operations with Anomaly Handling
