JOB TITLE : Senior SQL Developer

LOCATION : West Sam Houston Pkwy N, Suite , Houston, TX

DUTIES :

Design, develop, and test software solutions using SQL, NoSQL / Time Series data structures. Design and develop complex SQL applications, queries, and procedures using standard frameworks and efficient data structures. Develop migration strategies to move SQL databases to the big data platform and support business stakeholders with complex relational queries and reporting requirements. Ensure quality and timely response to business requests for data and reporting. Monitor and validate real time data, identify drilling trends, irregularities, or deviations and present findings. Develop process improvements that improve data quality, drive efficiency, mitigate risk, and / or provide value to the organization. Develop APIs and data ingestion pipelines to process structured and unstructured data. Lead, mentor, and train other developers on developing big data solutions. Interact with multiple levels within an organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or closely related field and years of experience in a Senior SQL Developer-related occupation performing each of the following : Working with data lake architecture, data pipelining and ingestion practices, database design, data warehousing, complex querying, and optimization; working with complex data structures and performance tuning activities; working with SQL Server and Postgres; and developing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services / Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSIS / SSRS) modules to support data integration and reporting with Power BI. Experience must also include years of experience performing each of the following : utilizing Azure DevOps; and building, packaging, and deploying applications using Azure DevOps with automated unit tests. Experience must also include years of experience performing each of the following : implementing drilling processes / workflows in SQL, Scala, Java, or .Net programs; utilizing NoSQL / Time Series data structures; and designing and deploying data marts for oil / energy domains.
