Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PWN is working with a growing food manufacturing organization in Eugene, OR adding to its People Operations team. Our client is seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Professional (title dependent on experience). This role will serve as a strong #2 to the Senior Manager of People Operations and will play a key role during an exciting period of leadership growth and organizational change.

What You’ll Do

Partner closely with the Senior Manager of People Operations to support day-to-day HR operations
Manage employee relations including corrective actions, investigations, and policy interpretation
Provide guidance on leaves of absence (FMLA, state leaves, accommodations, etc.)
Support leaders with fair, consistent, and compliant decision-making
Help drive and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Serve as a trusted resource for managers and employees across multiple shifts
Embrace and support organizational change and evolving leadership structures

Note : Payroll is handled by a dedicated payroll team member; this role does not process payroll.

Work Environment & Schedule

Hybrid schedule : 3 days onsite , typically Mondays and potentially Fridays but open to discussion

Flexible hours with a strong preference for overlap with 2nd shift (starts at 2 : 00 PM)

Occasional evening calls (generally covered by manager and expected to decrease over time)

No regular weekend work

Business casual dress

Single-site operation (Eugene, OR)

Team Structure

~222 employees with plans to remain around 230

Additional 10% temporary workforce (25–30 employees)

HR team of five, including Safety and Continuous Improvement

Reports to : Senior Manager, People Operations

Employee relations

Corrective action processes

Investigations

Policies and procedures

Leaves of absence

Ability to make fair, firm, and non-emotional decisions

Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Action-oriented, communicative, and self-directed

Open to change and flexible in evolving organizations

Manufacturing HR experience not required (industry can be taught)

Education & Experience

Degree or HR certifications not required

Depth of HR experience and practical knowledge is most important

Systems & Tools

ADP (training provided)

UKG (planned implementation in 2027)

Microsoft Office & Teams

Benefits platforms and vendor portals

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary : $90,000–$110,000

Bonus : Yes – Quarterly

Benefits eligibility : Starts the first of the month following start date

PTO : 120 hours to start (prorated by start date)

Healthcare : Robust coverage with employer contributing ~80% for employee and 50–60% for family

401(k) : 6% employee contribution with 3% employer match
