Our work translates research findings into actionable best practices for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, insurers, system leaders, and policymakers. Additionally, we advocate for evidence-based care across various clinical conditions, enhance patient safety, and engage patients and families in care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test electronic clinical quality measures using Clinical Quality Language (CQL), Quality Data Model (QDM), and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
• Define user requirements and design measure test plans and testing strategies for digital quality measurement projects.
• Lead quality measure development teams, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality outputs.
• Facilitate meetings with project teams and clients to support project goals.
• Prepare concise technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Provide strategic and technical expertise in digital quality health and clinical informatics to guide our research and business strategies.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and development.
• Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, representing AIR with professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in health or nursing informatics, electronic clinical quality measurement, electronic health record (EHR) systems, or health data.
• Experience in a contract research or project-based environment.
• Hands-on expertise with FHIR, CQL, QDM, and eCQM tools like MADiE, VSAC, and MMS Blueprint.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, validating, and testing eCQMs, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows and EHR systems.
• Experience working collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, and technical teams to interpret measure requirements and testing results.
• Knowledge of Consensus-Based Entity (CBE) requirements and federal rulemaking processes.

• Ability to mentor others in eCQM authoring, testing, and the quality measurement lifecycle.

• Effective time management and organization skills, meeting deadlines consistently.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
