GVETS Georgia Veterinary Emergency and Triage Services located in Watkinsville, Georgia.

GVETS is rapidly expanding, and we are seeking dedicated, skilled and motivated Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our growing emergency and triage team. About GVETS

GVETS provides emergency and urgent veterinary care 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and all major holidays. Our hospital features modern, high-tech diagnostic and treatment equipment, a collaborative team culture, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Responsibilities

Assist in triage, emergency care, and ongoing patient monitoring

Support veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and treatments

Perform technical skills such as venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiographs, and nursing care (based on experience level)

Maintain accurate medical records and uphold high standards of patient care

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members

Follow hospital protocols and contribute to a clean, safe, efficient work environment

Qualifications

Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant preferred

Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate in emergency situations

Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within an evolving emergency practice

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
