About the Role

We are hiring a talented Solutions Engineer to support our Mid‑Market customer segment. If you're excited to be part of a winning team, Obsidian Security is a great place to make an impact. A Solutions Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales process and mentoring and building the team. You will work with the sales team to technically advise on the sales of Obsidian solutions and is a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions. It is the Solutions Engineer's responsibility to partner with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle and be the advocate for the customer back to product management and engineering. The ideal candidate is aggressive, collaborative, and knowledgeable, has worked in an offensive or defensive cybersecurity role, and has strong software engineering abilities. This a hybrid role with a regular cadence spent with AE peers in the SF based office.

As a Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for :

• Preparing and delivering technical presentations to prospective customers
• Actively driving technical proof for our prospects
• Working with the Corporate Sales team hand in hand as the technical advisor in the sales process
• Serving as a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions
• Partnering with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle
• Conducting field reconnaissance to provide feedback and insights to product management and engineering
• Staying up to date on the competitive landscape

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for incentive compensation based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Base Salary Range

Base Salary Range : $101,000 — $155,000 USD
