A local Aerospace Company who manufactures airplane harnesses is looking for a motivated individual who is detail-oriented to join their team. This position requires someone who understands the aerospace manufacturing processes, ideally, & has an eye for detail when it comes to inspecting & a passion for perfection. Quality Inspectors should take pride in their work & are motivated by doing their best every day while exceeding customer expectations & shipping dates. Duties include: Ensuring quality in final review & inspection of product & documentation; Performing receiving inspection in accordance with Quality Procedure; Verifying compliance with drawing, PO, & specification requirements of mechanical & electrical/electronic/electromechanical parts; Inspecting off-the-shelf items using technical data sheets & catalogs; Reviewing supplier certifications, inspection reports, & test reports for compliance & accuracy; Stamping & dating supplier documentation as objective evidence of review & acceptance; Stamping & dating travelers as objective evidence of verification & acceptance/rejection; Performing receiving inspection of all CFM; Maintaining receiving inspection records on all received materials, parts, & components; Identifying shelf-life items with proper expiration dates & entering into shelf-life log; Performing in-process inspection in accordance with Quality Procedure, verifying compliance with drawing, material router, & specification requirements during production; Performing final inspection in accordance with quality procedure, verifying compliance with drawing, material router, & specification requirements of mechanical & electrical/electronic/electromechanical parts & assemblies; Filing & maintaining Quality Records (including but not limited to: Supplier Inspection, tests, & certifications; Records of inspection & test acceptance/rejection results; Closed Material Routers/Travelers); Performing First Article inspection & completing reports as required; Maintaining quality stamp control; Signing C of C for shipments as company Quality representative; Performing other tasks as assigned by Quality Assurance Manager. Required qualifications: 2-yr. college degree or equivalent in relative exp., preferably in field related to aerospace assembly or production processing needs; Knowledgeable of inspection methods & standards; Knowledgeable of AS9100 documentation & requirements, as well as NADCAP; Intermediate computer skills, & knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Knowledgeable of soldering, crimping, braiding, potting, conformal coating, & other related specification requirements; Able to read & understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, & simple mechanical dimensioning; Self-starter & able to work with minimum supervision & complete tasks in timely manner; Able to interface with others at all levels within company; Ability to proofread & have good spelling & grammar skills.
