Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: Onsite - Seattle
Pay Rate: $28-$34 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented
Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing accounting team in Seattle. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with high-volume transactions, and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on outstanding balances
- Perform daily cash application and reconcile incoming payments (ACH, wire, check, and credit card)
- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable aging reports
- Communicate with customers regarding billing discrepancies, payment status, and account inquiries
- Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
- Prepare regular reporting on AR aging and collections activity
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Support audit requests and maintain organized AR files
Qualifications:- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience
- Experience working with high invoice or transaction volumes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to receivables
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work onsite in Seattle
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with automated billing or AR systems
- Experience preparing aging reports and collection analysis
- Experience working in a mid-size or growing organization
