The Driver Safety ProgramSpecialist has primary responsibility for student registration, maintenance andupdating of the Driver Safety records for all defensive driving programsoffered through the department. Thisposition is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to theCircuit Court and answers all inquiries from potential and current students to scheduleand reschedule courses. This positionreports to the Driver Safety Program Manager.
Responsibilities
Work withstudents to ensure that complete registration information is received andcourse enrollment occurs within the parameters specified by the 16th and 23rd JudicialCircuit Courts.
Import and exportconfidential student information using electronic data files to and from the CircuitCourt Clerks as needed.
Prepare and sendcorrespondence to students regarding all defensive driving courses, courserescheduling and course completion in a timely manner.
Provideinformation to appropriate court personnel in response to inquiries regardingstudent attendance or registration.
Answer inquiriesfrom current and potential students and the general public.
Communicate withinstructors regarding upcoming courses, student attendance and programevaluations.
Ensure thatdepartment inventories of course materials and supplies are adequate for anticipatedstudent enrollments.
Preparemiscellaneous monthly and year-end reports, as needed.
Perform otherduties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High schooldiploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.
Three yearsexperience in a customer service, office clerical or related field required.
Experience with softwareapplications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Windows.
Ability to speakSpanish (bilingual) preferred.
Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills.
Strong customerservice skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
