Purchasing Assistant

DX Electric Company has partnered with Hueman to find a Purchasing Assistant in Grapevine, Texas.

DX Electric is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and has a passion for ensuring smooth and efficient purchasing operations.

Responsibilities :

Process purchase orders based on assigned vendors using demand and replenishment reports.

Assist in special purchases as needed.

Manage daily receiving in the ERP system from both DX warehouses.

Update vendor promise dates and secure tracking numbers for shipment traceability.

Expedite late deliveries and update the ERP system and sales team accordingly.

Oversee daily air freight management, verifying tracking and delivery status.

Maintain accurate vendor information, including contacts, emails, phone numbers, minimum order amounts, and freight policies within the ERP system.

Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager and broader team on all activities related to purchasing, receiving, and inventory management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

1+ year of purchasing experience.

Understanding of electrical parts or technical product knowledge.

Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
