Prekindergarten Teacher

St. Mark Catholic School in Southwest Ranches, Florida has an opening for a candidate who is qualified to teach Pre-Kindergarten to join our talented, professional, teaching team for the 2026-27 school year. Our Pre-K 3 or 4 teacher creates and implements interactive lessons plans aligned with the state standards; completes Pre-K assessments; maintains a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized; and is professional, caring, compassionate, and dedicated to the well-being of our students. This person will also have direct communication with parents, and fostering good rapport, is a necessity to our students’ development. The Pre-K teacher is expected to be knowledgeable in and ensure compliance with all licensing guidelines, along with those set forth by the Archdiocese of Miami. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary level.
• 2 years’ experience working in a Pre-K classroom preferred.
• State certified 45 hours child care training or Staff Credential with Department of Children and Families is required.
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience or familiarity with Creative Curriculum or HMH Splash into Pre-K, a plus.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Excellent presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Proficiency in Apple products and software, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
