A Taste of What You’ll Do
Gallo seeks a Project Engineer to work cross-functionally on projects that build or start up new assets and commercialize products while improving throughput, quality, safety, operational cost, and regulatory compliance. This role develops project proposals and phase plans that define business benefit, schedule, funding, staffing, and critical deliverables, then translates approved plans into scopes of work, installation plans, and start-up activities to achieve defined success criteria.
In this role you will lead projects related to Manufacturing of our products and components, Material Handling, Utilities Infrastructure (12kV/480V Distribution, Power Generation, Water Distribution, HVAC, Air/Gas), and/or Commercial Construction (Roofs, Roads, Buildings) from conceptual design through installation/start-up to meet Scope, Schedule, and Cost. You will direct project personnel, coordinate with vendors and regulators, and maintain budgets and cost-to-complete awareness. The Project Engineer drives project schedules, identifies critical path tasks, develops start-up and contingency plans, reads and interprets contracts, reviews vendor proposals, and reports succinctly to department leaders. Effective verbal communication, the ability to read plans and drawings, and a focus on GMP, safety, quality, and environmental compliance are essential.
This position exhibits intrapreneurship and ownership—thinking boldly, taking appropriate risks, learning from mistakes, and holding self and others accountable—while mentoring interns, overseeing contractors, and acting as lead engineer for small teams as assigned. The role liaises with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure specifications are met and to remove operational roadblocks.
