Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) :

• Follows procedures to fill orders from inventory management system, stock warehouse, shelves or bins; packs and ships orders as required from written or verbal orders
• Shipping function includes weighing and addressing of parcels, attaching postage or making up and attaching bill of lading
• Interfaces with Shipping and Brokerage vendors
• Uses UGA business system for simple materials management transactions
• Uses hand trucks, forklift trucks or other methods to move cases, crates, packaged merchandise and other materials within the shipping and receiving area
• May use simple carpentry skills to assemble pre-cut, standard and / or building of non-standard crates or cartons
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness the shipping area
