Patient Access Specialist | $ 21 / hour |MON-FRI shifts from 10 am - 8 pm | Maitland FL

What Matters Most :

  • Pay at $21hour
  • 3 Weekday Shifts Available : Monday- Friday 10am - 7pm, 10 : 30am – 7 : 30pm OR 11am – 8pm
  • Temp to Perm Opportunity
  • Onsite while temp then could be remote / hybrid

Job Description :

Help patients access the medications they need. We’re seeking a Patient Access Specialist who can partner with healthcare providers and insurance payers to verify benefits, navigate reimbursement barriers, and support prior authorizations and appeals for pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct benefit investigations by calling payers to verify coverage, cost share, and access options
  • Identify coverage restrictions and determine steps to help expedite patient access
  • Initiate and document prior authorizations (PA) and claims appeals for an assigned caseload
  • Support providers with coding / billing questions and complex reimbursement navigation
  • Track case progress to ensure service, quality, and compliance standards are met
  • Report reimbursement trends or coverage delays to management
  • Serve as a liaison between field reps, healthcare providers, and patients

    • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Major Medical and Pharmacy benefit coverage
  • 2–3 years of benefit investigation experience interpreting insurance coverage
  • 2–3 years of experience working with healthcare providers on plan requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong grammar
  • Salesforce experience preferred

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the pay range for this position is $21.00, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
