[job_card.job_description]Position is in a 34-bed Emergency Department within a stroke center Patient population includes all ages, with high acuity cases and stabilization of trauma prior to transfer Average census is over 200 patients per day in a fast-paced environment Typical patient ratio is 1 : 4 for RNs Shifts are 12 hours from 1500 to 0300 with every other weekend rotation Floating to multiple facilities within the region is required, including mid-shift floating as needed EMR system used is Epic, with Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors No call required; expectation to work 75% of holidays Scrub color is navy Core responsibilities include triage, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions Care for both medical and behavioral health emergencies, including those with trauma stabilization needs Support includes a team with CNAs, receptionists, and charge nurses Department emphasizes collaboration and teamwork Orientation includes facility orientation and 2 days of departmental orientation RTO up to 6 days may be approved, excluding holidays, and time off must be added to contract if contracted hours are not met Parking is free for employees First-time travelers will be considered though not preferred Active NC or compact RN license Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required General ED skillset including adult and pediatric care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK / TPA administration, and conscious sedation TNCC certification preferred Ability to care for a diverse and challenging patient population, including trauma and behavioral health Experience with Epic EMR preferred Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from home unit High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
