The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Data Specialist within the Division of Student Affairs and Career Center. This individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and benchmarking undergraduate career outcomes data from surveys of recent graduates, among other data analysis projects within the University’s Career Center. Additionally, the individual will provide data analysis support to high-level projects within the Division of Student Affairs, including more comprehensive analysis of post-graduate career outcomes for minoritized graduate populations.
Individual will collaborate on projects with Division of Student Affairs and Career Center leadership; must be able to use independent judgment and initiative in designing surveys, reports, and dashboards, and is responsible for maintaining data accuracy and providing effective data visualization strategies. Individual will collaborate with other data analysis professionals across the University on various projects, including the Office of the Provost, Institutional Research, and other staff within and outside the Division of Student Affairs. This position will allow for a hybrid work schedule. Bachelor’s degree and experience using Microsoft Excel and Tableau are required. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, and individual must be both team-oriented and detail-oriented. 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
