We have an opportunity in our Santa Clara, CA office for an Image Sensor Characterization Engineer.
In this role you will be part of the ST Santa Clara Imaging team with a focus on supporting local customers on pixel development and pixel characterization activities. You will also participate in R&D efforts to develop and characterize future IMAGE SENSOR technologies and upcoming products which will be introduced to the market.

Other responsibilities:
• Write detailed technical reports on characterization results, as well as recommendations for next actions.
• Develop custom optical setups for specific characterization needs
based on customer applications.
• Develop testing methodology and plans, for package level
characterization. Utilize MATLAB and Python.
• Assists applications and market development in assessing potential application of Imaging products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications.
• Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Profile

Bachelors or Masters (Masters is preferred) with a major in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics or a related field with course work in mixed signal design, semiconductor physics and optical engineering.
• 5-10 years of work experience in Image sensors pixel characterization is preferred.
• Understanding of semiconductor physics, and Pixel design
• Experienced in using lab equipment such as scopes, SMUs, power
meters, etc.
• Proficient in Matlab or Python
