Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Sterile Processing Technician I who performs a variety of sterile processing procedures ranging from decontaminating, sterilizing, inspecting, testing, packing, and issuing medical supplies, equipment and instruments.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public / nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empires newest medical school.

The job requires candidates to qualify under one of the following options : Option 1 : Six (6) months experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care hospital. Experience must have been obtained with the past two (2) years. Option 2 : Provisional Certification through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) in any of the following : National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Only accepted in conjunction with the completion of a Sterile Processing Technician course from an accredited agency.
