The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Say Yes Buffalo Scholarship, Inc. This position is responsible for executing daily and monthly financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and assisting the Business & Finance Department with various accounting functions as needed. The Senior Accountant will also guide the Staff Accountant to support a smooth and effective workflow within the department.

Position Summary : The primary role of the Senior Accountant will be to support day-to-day business functions of Say Yes Buffalo Scholarship, Inc., including daily and monthly financial transactions, and reporting requirements assigned by the Business & Finance Department as needed.

The Senior Accountant will also guide the Staff Accountant to support a smooth and effective workflow within the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.

• Preferred 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Technology-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

$72,00 based on a 35-hour work week, exempt position
