Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.

Additional duties may include :

Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing

Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying

Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule

Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments

Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs

Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities

Royal Community Support is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Male individual who lives in Branchburg, Somerset County NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support.

Tyler is seeking a DSP that can assist in helping him with money management and meal prep.

SCHEDULE :

2 days during the week

5 : 00pm - 8 : 00pm

6 hours a week

Qualifications :

Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

Staff need to be open-minded and come with a positive attitude

Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label

Must be 18 years old or older

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a car

Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record

Must be willing to have a background check

Must be willing to take a drug screening

Must be authorized to legally work in the United States

Starting Pay Rate : $22+ per hour

Job Types : Part-time

Salary : $25.00 per hour
