East Tulsa Location – Salina, OK

Hydro Excavation Pay Rate and Hours :

  • Payrate : $20 / hr + DOE
  • Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm (OT as needed)

Contract assignment (until at least next summer)

Equipment Technician is responsible for safe operation of stationary and mobile machinery and heavy equipment in support of the GREC and Hydro power plants.

Hydro Excavation Job Description :

  • Support excavation team with duties to develop skills to :

    • Operate large mobile equipment, such as Caterpillar style bulldozers, scrapers, and excavators.

  • Operate large dump trucks and various other equipment to transport material.
  • Performs safety inspection on trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Performs tasks safely by following safety guidelines and operational procedures and requesting guidance and assistance with new or different work tasks.
  • Performs lockout / tag-out safety procedures to isolate equipment for work by maintenance personnel, wears appropriate PPE for the task, participates in safety forums and tailgate meetings, and stops work in potentially unsafe situations.

    • Hydro Excavation Job Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a two-year course of study at a recognized trade, technical or vocational school; or two years of experience as an equipment operator or equipment maintenance technician; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Welding a plus but not required.
  • Commercial driver’s license or must obtain within one year.
  • Excellent knowledge of excavation equipment operation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read, interpret and carry out complex written and oral instructions.
  • Highly motivated with willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Physically able to climb stairs and move rapidly in an industrial environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and reliably.
  • Shift work and flexibility in work schedule are routinely necessary.
  • Upon selection, must complete required training and qualification program.
